AirPod Pros (first gen) versus over-the-ear noise headphones for air travel

I may finally be able to head overseas to Japan in the coming months.

The flights are long and I'd love to hear how well the AirPod Pro performs with noise cancellation.

How do they compare to over-the-ear headphones such as Bose Q45 or SonyX5s in terms of muffling out airplane noise?
 
I have AirPods Pro 2 and Sony WH-1000XM5 and the XM5s are miles ahead regarding ANC compared to the AirPods Pro 2. Not to mention battery life. After a 5 hours flight with the XM5s, they were down to 75% battery life.
