The sound is so low I thought it was dead but it does have barely audible sound. And no discernible or really low ANC, definitely not the full amount like left ear bud. Any known fixes for this or am I screwed and have to take them back?

Take them back while you still can. It's just about impossible to fix anything in the Airpod Pros. The ifixit site gives it a zero for repair possibility.
Yeah I figured I’d have to, was hoping someone had the same issue and knew an easy fix lol. Oh well.
