I've always had a problem with Earpods not fitting and falling out, so I bypassed the Airpods for a similar reason. I recently picked up used Airpod Pros and was disappointed that I have the same issue with them; even with the large tips, they start to fall out over time. I've tried large memory foam tips, and they didn't provide a good seal at all, with bass dropping way off.

I have no issues with the large tips on Sony true wireless IEMs or with the large tips on Chinese wired IEMs.

Is there anything else I can try before I give up the Airpod Pros? It almost feels like I need an XL tip.

I’m with you on needing larger tips. I am a big guy. 6’6” and around 275 athletic build. So naturally my ear canals are larger. As you might expect.
The large tips on my AirPod pros keep them in my ear BUT they almost always fail the seal test that you can run in the settings.

I haven’t gotten other tips yet (although I would have if mine literally would fall out my ear like yours) but i may try the Comply (search for the brand Comply and you will find them) tips one day just to see if they seal better than factory tips.

I am also considering ordering some airpod pro 2’s just to see if they are worth it.

One option is to purchase third party wing tips that attach to the AirPods, but the issue with them is you need to remove them to put the APP's back in the charging case. I solved my issue by selling my APP's and purchasing Beats Fit Pro's, they are super comfortable and the build in wingtips keep them in the ear securely. Probably not the answer you want to hear, however I like you, just couldn't use the APP as they would not stay in place no matter which tip size I tried. The BFP's offer all the same benefits in the Apple ecosystem as the APP.
