Hello friends. Do you think Airpods + 128GB iPad Pro 2020 11 for $ 880 or 1TB iPad Pro 2018 12.9 for $ 980? Education discount and airpods campaign still continues in my country. But one has airpods gift and the other doesn't. Which one would you buy? My mind is 1TB 12.9 2018 iPad Pro. Because the screen size interests me. Do you think it will have an update problem because it is the old generation? ram 6gb but developers can only use 4gb. this situation worries me for the future. How many more years of updates? In a few videos on youtube, it is stated that the 2018 ipad 3rd generation has a stuttering problem in games. Is this true? Which one would you choose? I can sell the airpod for $ 100. Then 11inch 2020 comes cheaper. But my heart goes to the big screen. Thanks

I'd personally go for the 12.9" Pro
For bigger screen size, more RAM, better (4 instead of 2) speakers, Promotion display, FaceID, better graphics power etc etc

I already have the 1TB iPad Pro 2018 12.9 by the way, never had any stuttering problem

Thanks for your comments. How many more years do you think updates will take? For 1TB 12.9 2018 iPad Pro.

I’d go for the 1TB 12,9 inch 2018 Pro model.
Maximum storage and larger screen is way better value.

I don’t know how many years it still going to get updates, but judging from its specs are very similar with the 2020 Pros, I think at least 5 years from 2018 is likely.

I’m using my 11 inch 2020 iPad Pro for extensive gaming on Call Of Duty Mobile recently.
Maybe around 1 out of 50 gameplays I would experience very small stuttering, but I’m guessing it’s due to my Internet connection speed, not the hardware.
1 out of 10 gameplay, the app would send the iPad goes to auto restart, which I’m guessing due to I’m the type of user who don‘t clear up recent opened apps. And like you stated, the iPad OS never use maximum RAM capacity given. In my case, only 2gb-ish of RAM usage even when editing videos in Lumafusion or gaming on the CoD Mobile.

Get that 12.9! Lol, you are worried bout how long it will be updated? It will probably lose its battery health long before it stops getting updates, you should be good for at least the next 4-5 years.

ive been reading about this a lot recently. My question is, if true, then what’s the point of Apple adding more RAM and pushing up the price even if marginally?
