Hi! I bought a pair of airpods 2nd gen last week and i think they have a problem. When the case has 5% battery and i wanna charge my airpods, the airpods aren’t charging and my case remains at 5%, the case won’t discharge to 0%. Should i make an appointment to check the case in an authorized service?

Absolutely you should!

Or... you know... you could just recharge the case back to 100%?

In case you were just woken up from cryogenic sleep, discharing lithium batteries down to zero on purpose is not a good idea.

Don’t try to be smart, cuz you’re not. I know that i shouldn’t discharge to zero lithium batteries, but i wanna discharge it once. I wanna do a full cycle from 100 to 0.
Didn’t need your reply, arrogant mtfkr

So you want to do something that you know you shouldn't and not being able to, you blame the manufacturer? And you're surprised when people make fun of you?!

Doing a full discharge of a charging case is plain and simple some kind of OCD. Relax and use your device normally.

/sarc off

Probably Apple is trying to keep the case "alive", because it also serves a purpose when connecting the headphones.

It’s only a full discharge, mate. Every device can do a full discharge, but my case can’t. I talked to another person who has airpods and her case is discharging to 0, mine isn’t. Get the hell out of here. Didn’t need your stupid advice...

Why don't you just contact the Apple technical services?
