AirPods 3 continue to announce notifications

I've turned off "Announce Notifications" on both my phone and Apple Watch, but I'm still getting audio announcements while in workout mode for each mile as well as "Move Ring closed" and "Workout Ring closed." The announcements not only interrupt music, but also sometimes phone calls, switching the call from my AirPods 3 to the handset itself.

Has anyone experienced anything like this or have suggestions?

Same thing here. It’s annoying.

in the watch app on your phone, in the workout section, there's a "voice feedback" option to turn those off
it's separate from the "announce notifications" setting that handles text messages and such.

None of the options are “off” though.
