I buy a certain brand off Amazon that locks the lid closed so my cats can't knock it off the table and I end up losing one of the AirPods for months. Has happened and I ended up having to get a replacement as I couldn't find one of the buds. So now I buy the locking cases.

I find them too slippery and have dropped them a few times. I always have a case on my AirPods case now, as silly as that may sound to you.

I agree about the slipperiness. Although I prefer a skin. No added bulk but easier to grip.
