AirPods and Siri doesn’t resume playback

When using Siri to e.g. adjust the volume during playbak, it doesn’t resume the music after volume been adjusted? I listen to a song, double tap to wake Siri, tell her to adjust volume, then it’s silent. I usually use Spotify, so if I now tell Siri to play music she starts something random from Apple Music. This makes it unnecessary complicated to adjust volume. Anyone else having this problem?
