Hi All!
Need to check something with you all: are you able to use your AirPods between your iPhone and you Mac seamlessly?
Whenever I am listening to something o my Macbook Air M1 and switch to the iPhone 12 Pro, it works flawlessly.
Yet, if I decide to go bet from the iPhone to the Mac, it won't work at all.
It will, best case scenario, warm me my AirPods are nearby and then I can connect manually.
But I simply cannot make them work as intended.
Followed all troubleshooting steps available, but no luck.

I'm having issues to when going from iPhone to my MacBook Pro. I regularly attend meetings via WebEx and Microsoft Teams. Even though my AirPods have switched their connection from my iPhone to my MacBook, these apps don't always automatically switch from using the Macbook's internal speakers and microphone.

In my case it happens with Apple Music and Podcasts app.

I'm having the same thing, going to my iPhone seems to work every time, but sometimes they just refuse to switch to my M1 Mac Mini. Its very, very frustrating!

This exact scenario happens to me all the time. We use Blue Jeans currently (thank god my job announced we're switching to Zoom) and I always have to restart the app or refresh to ensure the airpods are connected. Zendesk can always be a pain in the ass.

AirPods auto-switching has been broken for ages- taking a bud out causes it to switch to a different device that isn’t even playing anything, random disconnections, refusing to connect, one bud not playing any sound, switches back to the internal mic/speaker when answering a call, etc.

It was perfect in iOS 14 but at some point Apple broke it and haven’t bothered or been able to fix it since. I’m almost certain its software as I’ve tried factory resets and had some new AirPods in that time and they all have the same problem.
