AirPods battery case won't charge all the way up

It seems to stay at 66% no matter how long I charge it for. The AirPods themselves seem to charge fine though.

I'd read about issues with the case not holding the charge, but nothing about this particular problem, not charging fully. Anyone experience that also or know of a fix etc?

If you have one of the launch day AirPods, then perhaps you're experiencing some type of charging issue. Being that you're under warranty, Apple could just replace the charging case for a new/refurbished one. Which you are likely looking at a wait with the way the constraints are right now.

I know there was a firmware update for AirPods... I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
