Hi everyone.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I've had a search and could only find problems with the actual case draining.

My problem is the airpods seem to be draining without the case.

If I'm going out for a few hours I just take the airpods and leave the case at home. I put them in my pocket at 100% and an hour later it's at 85%, even though I haven't even used them.

I thought they automatically switch off when they're not in your ears?

Has anyone had this problem or is it just me? How did you solve it?

Cheers,

Mark

When they're not in the case I think they're constantly trying to talk to the phone, or at least, constantly pulsing IR to see if they're in your ears.

They can't check if they're in your ears or not without power!

When they are out of the case, it's active and needs power to stay connected. The AirPods itself turns off when it's in the charging case.
