AirPods battery life

I'm using one airpod at a time with my computer and I seem to be getting about 2 hours of battery life. I know it's supposed to be five, but is there any extra battery used when only using one pod or do they sound faulty?

That sounds faulty. Using one shouldn’t be any different than two. I’ve not gone till mine are dead yet but I’ve gotten 4 hours so far before I just had to take them out.
