As a first gen AirPods owner, I always leave my AirPods case plugged in when I am at home.

Now that I have a second gen, I have been leaving it on my wireless charger in a similar fashion. However, I am noticing that doing so result in significant heat generation on the AirPods case (yes, I am well aware that wireless charging generates more heat, but this noticeable heat is produced even when the case is at 100% for prolonged periods of time)

This raises concern of whether or not leaving the case on wireless charger will cause the battery to degrade faster due to excessive heat production.

Would appreciate some thoughts on this

get a temperature gun and measure the heat. should be minimal impact on battery but the extra heat will probably cause a faster rate of degradation in the long run compared to using the cable. airpods life span is a 2-3 years anyway so it shouldn't matter.
