Whenever I'm listening to either Spotify or Overcast and want to pause, I punch my ear twice, and iTunes starts playing. If i take out my airpod to pause it that way, nothing happens, but when I put it back in, iTunes starts playing.
Conclusion: Airpods are racist against non-appe apps.

I've tried unpairing and repairing, but it didn't work. Help?

Mine seems to be working perfectly with Spotify. I can pause the music and return right back to it with a double tap. Are the apps updated and everything as well?

I found a thread on the Spotify forums which had a similar problem - the music controls on the control center didn't show Spotify. That thread advised me to reinstall the app, which I did, and it worked.
Which is a shame, cause now I have to redownload gigs of music...
