iPad Airpods don’t work in iOS 11 on ipad

I updated iPhone 6s and iPad 11.9 first gen with iOS 11 today and now air pods don’t work on iPad only even though it’s connected fine. No sound comes out. Anyone else have this problem? They work on iPhone fine.

Working fine on iPad Pro, which iPad do you have? How are you connection AirPods by going to settings-Bluetooth-my devices?

IPad Pro 12.9 first gen. What do you mean by connection AirPods? I have Bluetooth and WiFi enabled and it’s connected via Bluetooth. Everything works except no sound.

Same issue with my iPhone this morning when making calls. Nothing seemed to fix this - very odd.

Nope, I tried everything except reinstall iOS with Apple support on the line as well.

Nope. Wish it was that simple....

They were intermittent on being able to be used for calls. 1 out of 5 connected.
