AirPods feedback notifications are muffled

as if a couple days ago, I can barely hear the feedback notifications on my AirPods Pro 2 — specifically when I hold one of the stems to switch from noise cancellation to transparency mode … the little chime that plays when I do this is barely noticeable.

I’m also no longer hearing the confirmation sound when I put the AirPods in my ears … nothing. Normally I get that audio feedback that the AirPods have been placed in my ears.

ANC / transparency still seems to work okay, however.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I have exactly the same isssue. I have reset my AirPods Pro 2 and the notification sound gets louder for a couple of days and then is muffled again.

It is ok when something is playing like music or during a call, notification sound are normal.

I guess this is a firmware issue because otherwise everything works fine ?

Seems to work fine since iOS 16.0.3 on my side ...
