Real simple, on the most lateral section of the shaft, a touch sensitive bar that will allow a touch sensitive swipe up or down for volume control.

Yes!!! I had also thought maybe even having it as a dial of sorts.

Too easy to accidentally trigger, especially when you are taking it off. It would be awesome of the AirPods case gets a Bluetooth hardware and gestures (while pressing the button).

I would like to see the implementation of Siri by double tapping be eliminated and some form of other trigger in place. I think the double tap is not really consistent how well it works at times , at least from my own experiences, but I agree that the volume slider for some type of touch capacitive control would be nicely implemented, if it is possible.

It definitely looks like 2019 will be the year for the AirPods, and it’s almost exactly 2 years in December when they first launched.

Bigger internals on case to allow for different ear tips. The standard size and slick plastic means these fall out of my ears + there is zero seal from outside noise.

I don't want to blow out my ears every time I go to put them in or take them out or adjust them, lol.

One from left field; USB-C connection on the case, so it can be used to charge your iPhone etc.

Rather make a just a tad slightly bigger airpod case that can double as an extra boost of battery for your watch or phone, even better if it was wireless and be able to just lay your phone or watch on it
