I’m having odd issues with the AirPods automatically pairing to my iPhone when I put them in my ears after the latest iOS update, I can be playing a song on my phone and when I put the AirPods in the sound continues to play on the phone and I need to manually tell the iPhone to direct the audio to the AirPods in the music app, why is this happening? I tried unpairing and re pairing but it still continues to do it

Seems that this update messed up all things bluetooth. The mic on my airpods is on permanent mute and when i try other headset, the other side says it's so quiet it's almost inaudible.

Yikes so it isn’t only me. Do we have any way to fix this?

I'm experiencing the same thing. Put AirPods in, hit play on a podcast, audio still comes from phone... have to specify for it to play through the AirPods.

No fix for it

Same problem with mine, iPhone 11pro Max, also automatic switching doesn’t really work. If I take one AirPod out then audio pauses no matter what I’m listening to. One other thing. Sometimes when I put them both in only one will connect and it takes multiple tries to get them both working. Very frustrated!

Same here but intermittent. Sometimes even when I pull down the Control Center and try to manual connect it takes a try or two. Bug I guess.
