My Airpods have a problem that has been driving me nuts. I have 1st Gen AirPods that I bought a few months ago. When switching between devices, between my iPhone Xs and Apple Watch S4, the airpods will all of a sudden lose sound. They appear connected but neither device can play any audio to them. If I press play, nothing happens, then if I press play again on my phone it will start playing audio through the phone speaker even though the Airpods show as connected.
The only fix, which is always an irritation to have to do, is to put the airpods back in thier case for a minute or two and give them time to reset.
I noticed this issue is especially bad if the AirPods switch between the 2 devices quickly back and fourth.
