Hey AirPod owners ! Have u guys been getting this black debris on your AirPod case? At first I didn’t think much of it but I tried removing it the other day with a damped wipes, and it didn’t come off! I’m afraid of using anything other then wipes. Any ideas?

I’m not home so I don’t have any pics, (I’ll take one later) thnx!

I have never even heard of this before. I would try a microfiber cloth and a small amount of isopropyl rubbing alcohol.

I have the same thing on my case, I've had AirPods since launch and the case spends a lot of time in my pocket, so it has picked up a fair amount of debris.

I've had some luck gently scraping it off with a pushpin, but I'm afraid to push too hard. I'm likely going to end up buying a new case that is comparable with the AirPower charing pad at some point, so I'm not too concerned.

The black spots will never come out of my AirPods case. Or my AirPods for that matter.

I’ll try to post some pictures of mine, a lot of people here may cry.

I know what you mean. Mine has them too. They get squished by the lid sealing shut, flush on the base.

I got a bit lazy cleaning the case (used to clean it more often), which I think didn't help....

I've recently tried lemon juice with no luck.

Also interested in other suggestions.

Non-issue for me. Wiping the case/Airpods clean every week keeps most of the debris away.

Just use a damp* tissue & toothpick to scrape the black dust away.

*damp, not damn...

Not a design flaw, an inevitability. That’s just what magnets do.

I have no idea how to post photos on this site. Will PBucket Work?
