I live in a noisy apartment area where its not uncommon to hear car horns at least 4 times a day,
is the noise canceling of the airpods pro max enough to dim the noise of the horns to cause less of a distraction?
I don’t expect pure silence but could I wear them with active noise canceling to make the horns a more bearable experience? 😣

It will be dimmed significantly. I often use them to walk along a very noisy street and the difference of the AirpodsPro is already on a remarkably high level. If you wear them not playing music, you will feel quite strange, because it is just too silent :) You will love it.

I live on a pretty busy street in NYC with plenty of ******s blowing their horns. Subjectively, it feels like it gets dialled back to about 25% of the volume with the APM in noise-cancelling mode. I can still hear it, but it's WAY less distracting. And if I'm playing music or some kind of noise-killing background sound (I like myNoise for this), I would have a hard time knowing there's a horn going off unless it's a truck or something.
