I am looking to upgrade to the pros or pro max because i take the train to work daily (2 hour commute) and it gets hard to hear with my airpods during the ride.

Id like the pro max because im not too big on in ear but i worry about wearing them in the summer heat. Does anyone have any experience with over the ear headphones in the summer? Is it too hot and sweaty?

It's called AirPods Max. There's no 'Pro' in the name.

I see how it can be confusing as there is an iPhone 12 Pro Max.

The APM is probably better with heat than it’s competitors due to the choice of materials (with Sony and Bose headphones, you will sweat like crazy for sure).

But better wait for some people from Australia to respond as they should have some experience with the APM in summer weather.

I never realized. My mistake

I want the max more but with commuting it just seems like it would get super hot in the summer

Update: got the pros but the left side kept falling out regardless of time size. Returned it and got the max. They work well but it seems the noise cancellation isn't as good as the pros (when they stayed in my ears)

The noise cancellation is still good enough but I am running into a new issue that I am worried about. During the 2 hour train rides I feel my neck straining. I look slightly down at the ipad or macbook on my lap while working and after about 30 min I can start feeling the neck strain.

So now I don't know what to do. I love the max. I was worried the clamp would be strong but its perfect. The weight however is proving to be a problem for my neck.

Edit: booked an appointment at the apple store for tomorrow. Trying it out for one more day before making the final call

You can buy a simple 8 dollar silicon ear wing for the Pros to keep them securely in your ears. They’re great.

Have both the pros and max. Live in az where it is hot most of the time. Prefer the max and use them outside in the heat. Because of the fabric ear cups they do not get hot or make you sweat, unlike other cans I have with leather cups that I could never wear outside.
