I bought Airpods Max for two weeks ago. Fantastic sound, but people i talked with says i sound funny, like i am inside a can. I called Apple Support in Sweden and they also could hear difference between my airpods pro and max. Promised to exchange them as soon they received them. I sent them in and now they returned them without finding any problems with them....

Apple Support now claims they cant exchange them and it was a misunderstanding with the first senior advisor i talked with. I got an address i could send a handwritten complain. Like that will happen, i will just file a complain to a Swedish consumers association (ARN). I wonder if Apple will follow a recommendation from them. A deal has been made and should be fulfilled by Apple. And yeah people still complain it sounds like i am inside a can.

Anyone else having problems with their microphone or is it just my pair?

Sorry to hear about your ordeal - that sounds a bit shady on Apple's part.

My APMs sound great while using them on calls - I've received many positive comments on the matter. So, it definitely sounds like something's wrong with your pair. I'd continue to pursue the issue with Apple until it's fixed as it doesn't sound like your APMs are performing to the standard.

I’m in Sweden too, my APM’s are working as intended. If you live nearby one of the two Swedish Apple Stores, I highly recommend trying there instead. I had zero issues replacing my faulty APP’s in the Malmö Apple Store.

I hope it works out in the end!

No i dont live near, or 200 km but i wont travel to Stockholm for exchange them and also they are not in stock. The last senior advisor said they dont exchange the APM, only APP and AP. I was in contact with US support last night and they couldnt believe that I was told to write a letter to Ireland to complain. I am gonna have a callback now in the morning.

I had a real crazy day yesterday, UPS was delivering the APM and a Amazon package. The UPS guy tried to steal the Apple package by not delivering it outside my frontdoor. We have a Ring cam covering our front lawn so I could prove that UPS guy never delivered the package but scanned it as delivered.

I probably spent more than 4 hours just to talk and chatt with Apple Support.

I must say Apple Support in Sweden has gotten really bad. The senior advisor whom i had a booked phone call wih hanged up the phone. I am gonna return the APM.
