Hi,

Im hoping someone can suggest a fix for this.

I have Sony PSLX310BT turntable. I can get the AirPods Max to connect to it, however the volume control does not have any effect so I’m stuck with one fairly loud sound level.

im a little disappointed with this as I have had cheaper headphones which have worked perfectly.

I don't know if you got a better answer or not, but it looks like your model of turntable uses bluetooth 4.2, with A2DP profile. Airpods Max, so far as I know are bluetooth 5.0, but only use AAC profile, so I don't think they are going to like each other.

Thanks for your reply. I couldn’t find the turntable specs online. It’s a shame Apple do not support this profile..

Wireless/Bluetooth headphones? My understanding is the volume control on AirPods basically functions as a remote to control the volume on the audio source. So the 310BT not having a native volume control should be why this doesn’t work. I tried Beats Solo3 with mine and had the same issue.

Maybe the headphones you had success with have physical volume controls built in?
