Hey all,

Very much enjoying the Airpods Max so far, but I've noticed that the ANC/Transparency button seems to be kind of 'soft' compared to similar buttons on iPhones, iPads, etc.

If I press it with at least moderate force, it always works fine. However, there's no real 'click' to it (just a smooth transition from 'out' to 'in', if you see what I mean), so if I press it gently, it doesn't actually activate it – I have to press slightly harder to make it switch mode.

Is anyone else getting this, or is my button possibly faulty?

Thanks!

I actually think the ANC button feels really good when pushed. My problem is with the dial for volume/pause-skip/siri. Its a little too sensitive. Everytime i touch the right cuff, I accidentally push or activate it.

Okay, but are you feeling what I’m describing?

I also like the fee of the button when used normally – I’m just a bit puzzled by the ability to press it gently and have it not respond.

Noticing the same softness with my pair too. Did you ever resolve if this is normal?

I definitely noticed this on the new pair I tried this week. Even when I pressed the button past the tactile “break”, I had to always be conscious of whether that actually triggered the Noise Control. Honestly couldn’t rely on it.

This seems to be a pretty lame complaint. Can't you think of something better?
