I want to use my PS5 with audio coming through my AirPods Max
I recently bought a third party (male to male) Lightning to 3.5mm cable to connect my AirPods Max to the PS5 controller's 3.5mm headphone port. The brand is UGREEN. I have used their cables before, but this is the first time I've tried their Lightning to 3.5mm cable. Numerous forum posts via google suggest that connecting any headphones (including AirPods Max) via cable to the controller should work fine.
I'm getting no sound at all.
I've gone to the output settings in the PS5 menu and the console is detecting that I have headphones plugged into the PS5 controller as it allows me to adjust settings. Tried resetting, unplugging, switching audio inputs back and forth, but no joy.
Any ideas as to what the problem is?
Could it be that I'm using a third party cable and not Apple's official Lightning to 3.5mm cable?
