Can someone try this for me? Trying to see if my pair is defective. If you have Tenet on Apple TV on iOS, during the credits when the end-credit song comes on, the intro with the pulsating bass distorts, mostly on the left side. And there’s some later parts in the song that also distort. This is with ANC on, spatial audio on and volume at around 80%. Interestingly when I pushed it to 100% it actually didn’t distort - I suspect it’s some sort of driver protection happening and it pulls back the volume or at least the bass notes (I don’t actually hear the volume going louder and it sounded a bit more flat).

Note all the above was when spatial audio was on. It seems fine, no distortion, at any volume when spatial audio is off (and ANC on).

With Spatial audio on, you might me getting some of the LFE channel mixed in.

Just a note that as with all Christopher Nolan films, Tenet uses a very extreme soundtrack that is purposely designed to distort because he clips it and maxes the volume out. He uses this purposely for intensity and effect.

Thanks for the explanation however I’m talking about the end-credit song which is Travis Scott’s The Plan. Unless Nolan also had a hand in that?

Oh ok, yeah that I'm not sure. Probably that shouldn't be clipped. I'll let others with the Maxs test this and hopefully they can help you out
