So recently got on a plane for the first time in a long while and was discouraged when my AirPods 3 didn’t get loud enough for me to hear really any of the dialogue when watching Dune, with all the plane noise.

I’m wondering if the Airpods Max would help with this? Do they get much louder than the Airpods? I’ve tried the AirPods Pro but can’t stand the feeling of the tips in my ears.

Yes, absolutely. AirPods Max are excellent noise cancelling headphones. I’ve used Bose QC headphones and earbuds, and AirPods Pro, but now only use the Max for plane flights. Since they’re over eat, you won’t have the problem with the ear tips.

Houston (duh)
Noise cancelling for the win as said above. On both the Max and the Pros, it’s a game changer. I can’t use any other AirPods on flights.
I have a non-Apple set that goes in ear like the Pros and they’re serviceable but no where near as good as the Max and Pros with cancelling.

The first time I was on a flight with noise cancellation was a revelation. One of the best creations

Thanks everyone! Picked up a pair in space gray this morning, initially wasn‘t super impressed, then realized NC wasn’t on and whoa lol.

They are a bit tight, so will have to see how the head pressure goes, but damn super happy with the overall quality of the product and sound!
