I want to see if there would be any issues having the AirPods Max rest on a desk headphone stand. Shown here is the AirPods Max resting on the Grovemade headphone stand.

The concern would be on the part that goes over the head.

There is a chance the mesh will deform, just like any other headband would, from a headphone
sitting for hours, and every day, on a small support.

It was removed for violating the self-promotion rule. Still, I hope I can post an image.

That looks interesting; if there’s soft-touch/felt/faux fur lining or anything to keep the ear cups from scratching - and ideally some magnets in the middle where the cups would touch, to place them into Low Power Mode - I’d be interested in giving them a try.

Is this the Neederland that I've seen elsewhere online?

Hey, yes. I hope you didn't found it annoying! I got a lot of feedback from various sources, especially surveys and other people helped me so much (which I am calling special contributors)! I am trying to get more feedback from Max headphones users now because I want to include magnets in the foam for the next batch of stands. But delivery problems with single foams pieces hit me hard, so I need to postpone the design process a little bit. Or once I get a bulk order for backers, I will grab a few stands and redesign the foam to include the magnets. The foam in the enclosure is easily replaceable. I will be able to make it as add-on foam later during or after the campaign.

It is pillow-soft foam! I already got few replies about the magnets, but you were the first I belive. Thank you! I wish I knew earlier the magnet trick.

Comms and updates are good so far.
They always are...the first few weeks, then come the excuses, problems with production posts, en then they go quiet...
Be carefull with backing kickstarters, a lot are just jumping on the hype and are just scams, better play it safe and buy after it is for sale.

between now and march, there will be dozens of cases and nice stands :)

That is right, as a creator you need to be 100% sure that you can deliver. Also, covid hit supply chains, logistics etc. Once I am on the market I will remind you about my stand. But it will be probably aluminium only after KC campaign, the carbon is not commercially viable for mass production. But we will see!

Saw this one on cultofmac: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/maxstand/max-stand
Comes with a lightning plug that magnetically connects to the stand and charges the AirPods.
Backed their "Early Bird" in space gray a few days ago. They say it'll ship in March - let's see. Comms and updates are good so far.

You joined yesterday, so please be brave to claim that is YOUR stand, not something you accidentally found haha You have a great idea and I wish you a lot of success! But it is a completely different approach. I prefer straight lines instead of a wedge shape. And how about the connector? If Apple moves the connector with their next-gen headphones, then the stand will be useless. Besides that, Apple should create the stand with the functionality like yours guys!

I bought this to use with my APM. The headband support is wider than usual and it appears to be very supportive. Cheap and cheerful, but will do while I wait to see what other ideas come to market in the next few months.
