My AirPods Max updated successfully. Unfortunately my battery life while in the case has NOT improved and may have even gotten slightly less. Prior to this update, after 5 days (120 hours) idle in the case my battery would go from 100% to around 60%. With the latest update and under the same conditions, the battery goes from 100% to 50%. Maybe that's close enough to not worry about - but the hype on the internet about the great battery improvement with the latest firmware update does not seem to be my experience. The switching from one Apple device to another does seem better / smoother now - so at least that was an improvement for me. Getting back to the battery life, I am now experiencing about 10% battery reduction per day while in the case (with no usage / listening time). Is this drain amount while in the case normal for other users?

I've got the same problem - lose about 10-12% of battery every 24 hours they're in their Smart Case.

The appeared to immediately updated to the new firmware.

Might try a factory reset at the weekend.

Sorry to hear that... I have seen improvement in battery life in mine since the update. And I haven't had one of those battery drain overnight incidents either.

Yes a factory reset was done right after the firmware update. Is a 10% drop per day (24 hours) in battery life while in case normal?
Not sure. Last night I listened to music, was 99% before I put it in the case. 8 hours later it was down to 95%. Only lost 4% overnight. It can vary. So if you lose 4% every 8 hours then it might be normal?

So I am at 91% after 45 hours....30 mins playback and 44.5 hours on standby. that averages out around 5% a day which is totally acceptable for me. You should definitely do a factory reset and do it twice to make absolutely sure

I posted in the other thread too and I’m seeing the exact same battery behavior after this update: about 10% drop per day while in the case.
