I own a set of Bose QC45's and really like them. But, the device switching is something that is driving me crazy. I usually have to disable the devices that I am not actively listening to due to skipping and momentary disconnects from the devices that are not playing audio. I also own a pair of AirPods Pro Gen 2 and while the audio switching is seamless, the fit is something that I struggle with constantly. I feel like I have the fit as good as it is going to get. Both of these devices have excellent audio quality for me - I am not an audiophile with superb hearing.

I am curious to know of the people who own both of these headsets, is audio quality as good or better and is there any automatic audio switching issue with the AirPods Max (USB-C version)?

The price is a lot to justify a purchase unless there will be solution to both of of my issues. While I agree that these are really minor issues, I use these devices while at work and I would rather not be adjusting and fidgeting with them while I am supposed to be working.

I've never had an issue switching between Apple devices, but if you're looking to automatically switch audio between macOS/iOS and a Windows device, it isn't seamless. It's fast to reconnect, but I have to do it manually. If you use only Apple devices, it will be seamless, and I think the Maxes fit excellently. I can and do wear mine for multiple hours on end with no issues. The APMs do sound better to me than the Pros, you shouldn't have any complaints on that score.
