Hi all,
got a pair of Max's two weeks ago and I'm not sure if they are working as expected or are defective. While I do enjoy them the ANC feels off sometimes with random sounds getting through and I hear a noticeable random noise without listening to music or anything.

Is this normal? When I turn on ANC or transparency mode I hear a (very muted) random noise, hissing, like the wind blowing into the headphones maybe? It goes away when I turn ANC off. I never heard it that loud with my wife's XM3 or the Sennheiser we use in the office. My AirPods Pro are also dead silent. It's not really noticeable listening to music, of course, but can be heard watching a movie.

Thanks for the help!

Mine don't do that. I hear a slight wind sound when I first turn off ANC, but when it's on I just hear the TV very soft and light.

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe I should go to the Apple Store and try another pair, but I have no idea if it’s quiet enough to hear a difference.

Just an update if anyone ever stumbles across this thread: got them repaired/replaced and they are much better now. 👍
