Hi,

I bought my AirPods max on launch day, and I love them! However recently, every so often when using ANC or transparency mode, they make a crackling, static sound in the right ear cup, similar to if you ever get water in your ear after going swimming.
It’s very off putting, however doesn’t happen when ANC/transparency is turned off.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I have this same issue and I’ve only had the them for a day. Wasn’t experiencing it at all yesterday but now it does it every couple of minutes. It was super windy went I went outside with them earlier today. Not sure if that has something to do with it. I can easily replicate it by quickly tapping on the right cup. Makes a weird hissing sound. Bummed but I’ll have to return them.

I'm having this issue and now the right ear cup mics aren't working, sounds like the right side is dead when I use transparency mode. So frustrated.

And now sound doesn't work on the right side. Great.

I'm four months into my Airpods Max and my left cup is now rattling. Not consistently, and it always goes away. Can't decide what to do. It's a minor annoyance now, but if it got any worse I'd be upset. I wonder how widespread this is.
