AirPods Max Switching Between Devices

Was just curious if anyone has had an issue with AirPods Max not switching as seamlessly between devices as the other Airpods? I have noticed mainly when going from MacBook Pro to iPhone back to MacBook Pro (phone call). I had never had this issue with the AirPods Pro. Its a small issue as I only have to click back in the top right corner back to Airpods Max (which is odd because it indicates it is still paired)

I've started having an issue in the last couple of days.
Worked flawlessly before between using my iMac and iPhone. Would jump on to a Zoom and headphones would switch when I paused music on my phone.
