Inward-facing microphones measure what you’re hearing, then adjust the frequencies of your music to deliver a rich, consistent experience that faithfully reproduces every note. The AirPods Max with USB-C have a total of 9 microphones, 8 are used for Active Noise Cancellation and 3 are used for
voice pickup (2 shared with Active Noise Cancellation plus 1 additional microphone).
