Hi guys,

as many other I was waiting for the AirPods 2, obviously they won't come until Next year in Spring, but I don't want to have that damn wire anymore, I keep sticking everywhere with them. So I thought of getting one pair of Airpods, but then I read through the forum that many complain about the battery aging.

Yes I know, it is totally normal that the battery loses the power over time, BUT, before I buy them and wait until 2020 comes the new version I just wanted to open the discussion for an alternative of wirless earbuds.

Anybody happy with any other ear bud? Except the Bose Free, sound is greate but when you wear them you look like Shrek and can only make calls with one ear.

But any other? What do you guys have in your ear? It's for daily usage, no gym or sport.

Cheers!

I have Airpods and love them, but the batteries are wearing and they don't last long anymore. I didn't want to put money into another set only to have a new version come out a month later. I decided to get a pair of Jabra Active Elites that were on sale on Amazon for Black Friday. I like them a lot, but not as much as the AirPods. Sounds is good and it has a hear-through feature that lets ambient noises in when needed. The associated app has equalizer settings too. They are very good sounding too. I still like the AirPods better, but if they did not exist the Jabra would be a good choice.

I recently bought some ENACFIRE E19 from Amazon, work really well, Bluetooth 5.0 and have a charging case. Beat of all they turn on and connect when you take them out of the case like AirPods.

Will be using these until the AirPod 2s come out.

I tried now the beoplay e8 and the setup was a mess. Also they don’t fit good in my ear so I gave them back.

I ordered now the BeatsX and will see how them turn out. I think in regards for losing battery power all buds are more or less the same.

Buy the airpods now.

I bought the airpods a month ago and they are great. Just sell them when airpods 2 get released or keep them as a backup which is probably what i will do.

I have had my AirPods since they were first available. During the first couple of months there were some issues and they replaced one AirPod and the case. Since then I haven't had to many issues. I noticed the battery wasn't lasting as long as I wanted them to or what they said they would last (5 hours play time - 2 hours talk time). Now that they are close to 2 years old I did a test yesterday and they lasted 3 1/2 hours with playing music and videos and receiving 1 very short phone call. TBH I didn't think they would last that long but I still love them and keep them in my pocket for when ever I need them. I will say I use the PowerBeats 3 wireless for working out because they block the sound out better. I have women that want to talk a lot while they workout and they are usually on the machines next to me.
