For some basic context, I am a freelancer and I work primarily from home. I recently moved into a studio apartment, but my workspace is in a part of the place that has near-nonexistent cell reception; if I get a call (which tends to happen fairly regularly), I need to take the call near the window. The layout of the apartment is such that I could not feasibly set up my workspace near the window to begin with.

Since I field phone calls regularly, the solution I came up with would involve leaving my phone (iPhone 8+) near the window and answering calls with a Bluetooth headset. Range isn’t a problem since it’s a studio apartment. There aren’t any iOS-exclusive apps I absolutely need - any iOS app I use regularly on my phone has a MacOS equivalent.

The question is: what Bluetooth headset would you recommend? AirPods? Plantronics Voyager? Or a different solution?

I would probably say any Plantronics device is going to be great. We use them on a corporate level and I love mine. I also have a travel one that is really nice - Voyager. Highly recommend it. Use it primarily with a softphone via USB, but would see no issues over bluetooth.
