AirPods play different ringtone from my iPhone

I have my iPhone ringtone set to Opening, it plays Opening on the phone itself and through my car speakers when someone calls me. But when I have my AirPods in and someone calls me, ringtone Reflection plays through the AirPods. Why won't AirPods play the ringtone that I have set, which is Opening? Any thoughts?

Anyone else notice this?
