4th replacement pair already, after a couple weeks. Something goes wrong with mic. I sound really far away and the mic doesn’t pickup voice.

Can’t see any threads about it here, Apple have no idea why it’s happening and keep replacing.

My first gens AirPods are rock solid and kept in the same conditions.

Anyone else?

Is it happening in a specific app all the time or across multiple apps?

What iOS version is your paired device on? Out of curiosity
iOS 16 im in the Beta Programme. Even if I try on my Mac or remove AirPods / Reset from my account and try another iPhone on a non Beta OS, same issue. So annoying. Dont know how I will get Apple to acknowledge there is an issue with some of these coming out the factory.

Having said that, I seem to be the only one moaning about it!

I am not pleased with AirPods Pro 2 connectivity and microphone. It takes longer to switch audio to AirPods Pro 2 and often people can't hear me. I do like find my support etc with AirPods Pro 2, but I suspect some SW issues.

AirPods Pro Gen 1 is strong, never had these issues.

Exactly. I have two pairs. One from day 1 release and another pay a year or so after. Not once I had to go Apple Store for them.

On my issue above, its my 4th replacement I am currently on. I'm going to Apple Store today and I bet I'll be on my fifth replacement. It must be a software issue.

Now getting onto my 6th replacement. Lat week Apple Store replaced then with a brand new box, they've been fine and 2 days later the same issue with Mic. Sounds like I am so far away so people can hardly hear me.

The only thing I can think of its maybe the comply tips? Switched then out to the silicone ones and same issue.

Strange, I am unsure why I keep having this issue.

Anyone else been in the same boat?

If you are on your 6th pair you need to start looking at what you are doing and not the device themselves. There is no way you could have 6 pairs of AirPods all with the same issue. Its something you are doing and not the AirPods.
Got 2 pairs of original AirPods Pro, no issue.
The most recent replacement is 2 days old, they've done nothing bit sit on my desk.
Worked one day, logged off, next day did not work.

Maybe the iPhone is corrupting the firmware.

are APP2 really that prone to failure?

I thought APP1 were the plagued ones and APP2 were overwhelmingly fine... bad luck?

In any case, glad I attached AC+ on the final day

Thats EXACTLY what I was thinking. At some point the user becomes the common denominator.
I would look at water damage. I’ve heard that if you wear them at the gym and you sweat profusely, they will suffer water damage. I wear mine to the gym, but I don’t get covered in sweat.

What could I be doing wrong? I have 2 original AirPod Pro's in the same condition without any issues.

Can confirm the same. Everyone says my voice sounds like crap when I wear my AirPod Pro 2, on Teams iOS or a normal phone call. This is in a quiet room with no voice isolation on. Soon as I switch to my iPhone speaker, they're all like "wow what did you do its so clear now"...

Something definitely is wrong and I fully agree with OP.

I have the same issues. Had my 1st set replaced a month or so ago and same issues. Terrible call quality. Happens on regular calls and voice over IP calls. iPhone 14 PM and iOS 16.3.

Has to be software but seemingly no fix in sight.

Hey everyone. Check if you have toggled “voice isolation” when in a call. Drop down the control Center and switch the toggle to “standard”. That should do it.
