Hi everyone,
I have an AirPods Pro (2nd generation), and I’ve been noticing that the battery drains pretty quickly — even when I’m not using them.

So I decided to track it more closely.
  • I turned off Find My as some people suggested.
  • I also reset the AirPods and reconnected them to my iPhone.
  • Then I charged it to 100% about 3 days ago.
  • I haven’t used them at all since then.
  • Today, the case shows 72% battery remaining.
That’s a 28% drop in just 3 days of standby.

Is this normal for AirPods Pro? Do others experience this kind of battery drain when not in use?

Or could this be a defect — should I consider contacting Apple for a warranty check?

Appreciate any thoughts or similar experiences!

Definitely not normal. Mine drain only slightly when not in use. I did have a problem once where they were not fully seated in the case and stayed connected, draining the battery faster, but that was a one-off. How old are they?

Mine is always fully seated. It's still under warranty, so maybe I'll send it to Apple. They could check it.
