I yesterday upgraded from my APP1’s to APP2’s.
When I was opening the case, the pop up with the charge status would come up, I’d cross it out, it would pop up a 2nd time.
I then noticed after taking both AirPods out, the small widget on my lock screen, which is set to auto, only showed the 1 AirPod in the glyph icon. When I looked at the larger battery widget, it would say that 1 of the AirPods was still charging.
So ultimately, I decided something wasn’t right and started a return and ordered a new set. The new set is very similar in how it’s behaving.
Behaviour is, open the case, take the left AirPod out, it changes from charging to not charging in the widget, as expected. Then take the right AirPod out, but this one still shows as charging, even though it’s not in the case. It will stay like this until I put them in my ears, then it combines them as one and shows correctly.
But the behaviour is not consistent, sometimes it shows fine and other times it does not.
2 pairs in a row like this seems unlikely to be faulty. Is this just how the battery widgets work? Very buggy and inconsistent?
