Taking the chance of Black Friday sale, I decide to jump into AirPods Pro 2 bandwagon after I mysteriously completely lose the case and eventually both pods. Box opening is nothing out of ordinary. Pair it, listen to music, still the bass heavy sound, not a big deal.

What disappoints me the most so far is the Bluetooth range. AirPods Pro has BT5.0 which is supposed to offer double the range of BT4.1, but failed horribly, even with direct line of sight. I thought after 18 months Apple would improve it a bit in this regard with BT5.3. But nope. Same range, same disconnection at the same spot. No improvement whatsoever.

What's the power of those new chips? Personalized spacial audio that no one truly care? Able to change volume which should've been on the first gen? Better sound being transmitted via BT? Maybe CD quality? Apparently not so much.

To be fair, BT range is far better than any wired headphone would possibly achieve, at the cost of massively downgraded audio quality that as people getting older would be harder and harder to notice. But no improvements after 18 months? That's rather disappointing.
