Hi Guys,

I have a question, I have purchased the New Airpods Pro 2 with USB-C and it is lying inside the Box if I do not pair it with a device and not use it. If it is just lying inside the Airpods Box it came with, will the battery still lose its charging ? do I need to charge it even if I have not paired it with any device and not taken it out of the box even and not even pair it with any device even for the first time ? do I need to keep charging the battery ? will the battery still deplete on its own ?

If you have not paired them yet or you have unpaired them correctly, the battery should last at least a few months.

So does it mean it comes with certain amount of charged battery from the Factory and even if one does not use it, it can retain power for a couple of months but after that it will need charging right ? That's what you are saying ? So how much does it comes factory charged with ? And for how long can it stay in the new box without falling down to 0% ?

Yes. In my experience they come with about 70% charge and take 3 or 4 months to discharge completely.

I'd agree with this. And, while not yet likely for the USB-C version, if you buy them off the shelf or from an Apple retailer, it's possible the ones you receive have been sitting for a month or two (or more), so they could arrive to you with a much lower state of charge.

Depleted or not, there's no danger of damage.
