Is it that I cannot change the volume using the swipe motion on the stem, with an "old" iPhone 11 Pro on the new Airpod Pros?

I did not see an iPhone Version requirement on the support page.

It is "difficult" to control the volume. I have AirPods Pro 2 and an iPhone 14 but I don't think that's the issue.
Also, if you keep trying to swipe the APP, it will only work on the first swipe as there is a setting to "prevent" accidental volume changes (such as you hand brushing against the APP2). There should be a set of controls (when your APPs are connected to your iPhone) just below your Apple ID/Family at the top that appears when they are connected. At the bottom of these controls there is a section about swiping - though to me it really didn't help and just left it on default. I also find that my left APP2 works better than my right one. But it will react much more often to the first attempt rather than when I keep trying to make changes swiftly.
