When I touch my Airoopds Pro 2 (left or right one) and change the mode by pressing the Airpod or changing the volume by swiping up or down, the Airpods responds with a short CLICK sound.

Is this a normal behavior on the second generation models? My Airpods 1st Gen didn't responded with a CLICK sound.

Or is this a "feature" and can be turned off in a settings menu?

I hear the mode-change click on my AirPods Pro 1, though I'm fairly certain the click was added in a firmware update and not there originally.

As far as I know, the click sound can't be reduced or turned off. However, the volume of the mode-change chime can be adjusted going to Settings > Accessibility > AirPods > Tone Volume.
