AirPods Pro 2 - uneven charge?

I have had these AirPods for about a month. Last night i started with a fully charged case. When I put the AirPods away for the night, they were at 55%. When I went to take them out of the case this morning, my case was at 85%, the left AirPod was at 100%, and the right one was at 81%. Is this normal behavior.

I added AppleCare+ to these just last night but now I am thinking that I should cancel the Applecare (if I can), and return them for an exchange where I bought them.
