Does anyone else have problems with their new USB C AirPods Pro on their MacBook?
My MacBook doesn't fully recognize them for some reason. I can select and connect them and listen to audio but the icon I get is the regular headphones icon and not the AirPods Pro icon. I also can't access the settings menu via bluetooth on my MacBook and I can't activate head tracking.
Does anyone have the same issues?

I'm running macOS 13.6.

Oh, I also have the headphone icon without extra sound settings for airpods pro 2 usbc. Also on 13.6. I tried my airpods pro 1, and they have the airpods icon along with extra sound settings at the bottom. Super weird. Good observation.

You have to be on sonoma for the 2s to show correctly.
I think you’re right.
But that’s absolutely terrible from Apple. Due to most of my 3rd party audio plugins, I can’t update to Sonoma for probably a while.

This reminds me of the new FineWoven wallets. They were available before iOS 17 but Find My didn’t work under iOS 16.x. What a mess.
