Hey all! I upgraded my iPhone this year and am wanting to phase out lightning. I see that amazon is selling the APP2 with USB-C for $189.00 without AppleCare, $212.00 with AC. I'm thinking about picking these up, but would it be worth getting without AC? Or should I just swallow the extra $23 and get them with AC? Thanks!

Hey! It's really a matter of personal opinion and how much risk you are willing and able to take. I don't take AC on the vast majority of my Apple products, but AirPods are one of the few exceptions. I carry them everywhere, expose them to rain/sweat, warmer and colder weather, etc. It's too easy to break them or drop them, so I think the peace of mind is well worth the 23$. But you might have a different opinion, and if you have the financial capacity to pay any accidental damage, just skip AC!

I'd go for AC, especially given how cheap it is. I've gotten to the point where I get AC+ on any item that is mobile or that is over $2,500. Its all about peace of mind.
