I’ve just purchased a sealed genuine box of AirPods Pro on EBay

Probably asked already, but can someone please advise if it’s only the Magsafe addition to the new Pro’s and absolutely nothing else?

You can also still track your old set of Pro’s with FindMy?

Lastly the Dimensions of the case are the same for the 2019 and 2021 versions?

There are no new AirPods Pro. Apple is still on the first generation. You're thinking of AirPods 3, which are new. But yes, you can place the AirPods Pro case on a MagSafe charger and it'll work. This has always been true. And Find My works as long as your software is up to date.

We've always had AirPods Pro with MagSafe. There has been no change to AirPods Pro. They charge with MagSafe, Qi, or Lightning–always have.

Hmmm...maybe I'm wrong. AirPods Pro have always charged with MagSafe, Qi, or Lightning. My old case charges on MagSafe but doesn't align magnetically. Apparently the new cases do.

Yeh I think the 2021 case has a magnet, but was wondering if that was the only thing which was different.

As you can see on the photo above, it’s confusing me, as it looks like the 2021 case is different to the 2019 version…

Although they may just have the wrong stock photo up on the website, which isn't like Apple. . . .

I have the same question. With the discounts the 2019 looks great but I want to make sure there were no other updates.

You can now buy a pair of AirPods Pro’s for about £130 on EBay which are genuine / Sealed from a 100% feedback seller.

Well… here goes my experience of EBay (UK)

Don’t think I’ll be playing the AirPods Lottery on EBay again, WAY too many fakes out there, and some of them are EXTREMELY good.

So I received my Airpods Pro this morning and immediately knew they were fakes, even though Apples ‘Check my Warranty’ looked fine when search gun the SN’s. The Serial numbers also matched on the outside of the box and inside the case.

1. The pull tab on side of box to open the cellophane dropped off without the packaging even being opened.
2. The middle cellophane seal ran all around the box, a genuine seal runs on 3 sides and the pull tab is flat.
3. The charging cable white pull tabs were glued together, genuine ones have small bits to pull out
4. The charging cable did not have any Apple ‘Designed by Apple in California….’ writing on it
6. The inner side packing was able to pull out in sections, I believe genuine can’t be moved.
5. When I hooked up the case, with pods inside, to software 3UTools, and clicking on Genuine Accessories, there was no pop up stating they were genuine.

I honestly can’t believe how good these are, and the seller has been great. He’s advised to smash the pods up and click on Return items with an attached photo of them, and he will refund the money.

Maybe we have a different opinion of when a seller’s been great, but if they sold you a fake product when they advertise it as genuine & then advised you to damage the product in order to get a refund, I would (a) not trust them & (b) not think they’re a great seller.

He has advised me that they were given to him at his previous workplace as a leaving gift.

Whether thats true or not I’m not sure, but I have it in B/W to smash them as he doesn’t agree with fakes

So if there is any issues I can point Ebay to the messages

I don’t even feel good about giving this advise, but I’d send him an online photo of some smashed AirPods Pro (not yours), because this doesn’t sound legit & you don’t want to be left in a position where he won’t refund you & you’re left with a smashed set of earbuds where eBay may not be able to help you out with.

I wouldn't even buy Airpods from Amazon, let alone eBay. And don't do something stupid like smash them, just send it back as is and get your refund.

Only difference with 2021 is it has a magsafe charging case. They're on sale pretty much everywhere right now, just get it from Target or Best Buy.

The text "Airpods" gave it away on the box itself. The "P" is capitalised. They went through all that trouble to make them look and sound as real as the genuine ones but can't be bothered to even spell the product name correctly on the box. I hope you get your refund.

Well, last night I sent the seller an Email stating I wasn't prepared to smash the Airpods up until a case was created, and I would then state everything in the Ebay case and wait for a reply so it was documented for Ebay to see.

He replied back that it was my choice what I can do, and he just refunded me there and then, also advised I could do whatever I wanted with the Airpods.
