Hi all,

I've just bought the new AirPods Pro 2nd Gen and love them.

However, there's one issue:
I cannot connect the airpods with my Macbook Pro that runs Monterey — they just do not show up in the bluetooth settings.

According to this page, the "AirPods Pro (2nd generation) require the latest version of macOS."

Unfortunately, I cannot update my Mac to Ventura just yet; it's a company Macbook and our IT is still in the process of making sure that all required company apps run on Ventura.

Did anyone solve the issue?
I mean, wow.. seems to me a bit off why the new AirPods Pro should not be able to connect to a Monterey machine.

Thanks all for your help!

Ok, I got it—needed to do this:

  1. On your non-Apple device, go to the settings for Bluetooth and make sure that Bluetooth is on.4 If you have an Android device, go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth.
  2. With your AirPods in the charging case, open the lid.
  3. Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until the status light flashes white.
  4. When your AirPods appear in the list of Bluetooth devices, select them.
